Life is a ride, and love is a journy. Looking next to you...who do you want to see in your passanger seat?
Kelly and I established our relationship on 6.20.2009. My life has been incredibly different ever since that day, and I wouldn't change it for anything. I met Kelly through a mutual friend....a friend of his that I was dating more or less :) Yep. Our love story is "one of those" love stories, where we were just friends who fell in love. There is a song by Katharine Mcphee that completely explains our situation.
Love Story: Katharine Mcphee
I think it was the summertime, when I laid eyes on you.
I didn't even know your name, somehow we'd end up in the same room.
Never crossed my mind, never saw ya like that. Shoulda listened to my best friend, she knew we'd be the perfect match.
I always made up some excuse, saying you weren't my type
Didn't wanna face the truth, didn't wanna cross that line....
It's a typical love story, started out as friends, we met way back when.
This is just a typical love story...
The boy you never wanted just steals your heart,
Never saw it comin till I fell so hard.
------------------------------------
It's true. Our relationship actually started out as me hating him. Despising him, because I thought he was a pot smoking (completely false) a-hole. In return, he thought I was a stuck up biatch who would never give him the time of day...even to be friends. After a few times of hanging out with him though, I warmed up to him and realized he wasn't such a bad guy. Our relationship consisted of this for about half a year....
He was always in the background as a friend. I never really thought of him as anything special, more of a brother if anything. However, after an amazing camping trip with him and his family, my thoughts changed. I realized he'd been with me through everything. He'd never left my side and he never would. So after June 20, 2009...we were inseperatable. My summer? ROCKED. Best summer ever. I'm actually having a hard time accepting this summer for anything good because I miss kel and keith so much. They're both on missions though. That's where they should be. My favorite memories of Summer 09 were...
1. My family reunion/fourth of july weekend. Best memories ever. Going to yellowstone, walks, talks, and cuddling underneath the fireworks, my life was perfectly amazing.
2. Going to New Jersey with his family. A week straight in a car with people...let's just say you get to know them better than you might have wanted too :)
3. The day Keith, Kelly and I went and took endless amounts of photos...those two boys are truly my best friends.
4. The day the boys took out their endowments. Nuff said.
5. The random drives...finding the most beautiful places in Idaho. And of course, we would always have Arizona Iced Teas by our side :)
Anyways. That's just a short brief explination of how Kelly and I fell in love. Our summer togeter was indescribeable, so i'm not even going to try. However, I will re-enstate one more time how grateful I am to have him in my life. Even though we are apart, his letters are incredible, and I feel him here more than anyone knows. We are going to be together forever...and I only have 74 weeks left until he's home. Unless complications occur. We are experiancing complications in the mission, but that would take another blog to explain. And this blog is about us...and how much I love him :)
